This Privacy Policy describes how PDFly: PDF Editor & Scanner(“we”, “our”, or “the App”) handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 No Personal Data Collection
PDFly processes all PDF files entirely on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your documents on any server. Your files remain on your phone at all times.
1.2 Analytics Data
We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as:
- App open events and screen views
- Feature usage frequency (e.g., which tools are most popular)
- Device type, OS version, and app version
- Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics
This data is anonymous, aggregated, and cannot be used to identify you personally. It helps us improve app stability and user experience.
1.3 Advertising
The free version of PDFly displays ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google Settings.

1.4 In-App Purchases
Premium subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store any payment information. All billing is handled securely by Google.
2. Permissions We Request
PDFly requests the following permissions for functionality purposes only:
- Camera — To scan documents using your device camera
- Storage/Media — To read PDF files you select and save processed output files
- Internet — To display ads and send anonymous crash reports
We never access files beyond what you explicitly select.
3. Data Security
Since all PDF processing occurs on-device, your documents are never exposed to network transmission. Temporary cache files created during processing are stored in the app's private directory and can be cleared at any time from Settings.
4. Children's Privacy
PDFly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
